Discover the Magic of Henley: An Unforgettable Hiking Adventure!

We start by the famous River Thames.

  • Morning: A gentle walk with the river as our guide. We pass by Temple Island and Hambleden, a village with charming old homes.
  • Lunch: Hambleden welcomes us. A place rich in history and a grand church.
  • Afternoon: A journey through the Great Wood. Then, we visit Fawley and its ancient tales.

We finish in Henley, a town rich in history and tradition.

This walk is covered by our Club's insurance. Our Club is registered on The British Mountaineering Council (BMC)

TRANSPORT & MEETING POINT

We'll meet at London Paddington station, at 8:30am, next to the ticket office. We move from the Meeting Point at 8:40am.

Planned arrival time back into London of 8:30pm (we have a group train ticket, and you are committed for the day until then).

FOOD

We'll stop during the hike for a snack lunch so please bring food and drink. We’ll visit a pub after the hike where we can get refreshments.

COST

The price is £29 per person which includes the guided hike and return train travel from the group departure station listed at the top of this event.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Suitable hiking clothes & hiking footwear ideally hiking boots, and waterproof jacket.
  • Water (at least 1 and ideally 2 litres).
  • Packed lunch/picnic.
  • Money for drinks and refreshments after the hike.

That's it! We will take care of train tickets, logistics on the day etc, so that you can just turn up and have a great day

DOG

Dogs can use this trail as well, but must be on a leash.
