Join us for a delightful coastal walk that forms part of the Saxon Shore Way. Along the way, we'll traverse historic towns, a serene nature reserve, a picturesque creek, a boatyard, sprawling mudflats, fields, and marshland. Not to forget, we'll also encounter a plethora of charming beach huts! Our journey concludes in Whitstable, renowned as one of the best oyster towns in England.

This expedition is covered by our Club's insurance. Our Club is affiliated with The British Mountaineering Council (BMC).

COST

The fee includes the guided hike and return train travel from the group's departure station mentioned at the start of this event.

TRANSPORT & MEETING POINT

We'll convene at London Victoria station at 8:45 am, adjacent to the ticket office, opposite WHSmith and Boots. Our departure from the meeting point is slated for 8:55 am.

Anticipated return to London is at 9:30pm. Do note, we have procured group train tickets and all participants are obliged to remain with the group till the specified return time.

Refreshments

We'll be taking a brief halt during our hike for a midday snack. Do remember to pack your own lunch and beverages. Furthermore, we'll be making our way to a local pub post-hike for some well-deserved refreshments.

Essentials to Bring

  1. Appropriate hiking attire and sturdy footwear, preferably hiking boots.
  2. A weatherproof jacket.
  3. Drinking water (a minimum of 1 litre, but 2 litres would be ideal).
  4. A packed lunch or picnic.
  5. Some cash or card for post-hike drinks and treats.

Worry not about the rest! We've got train tickets, day-of logistics and more covered. Just show up and prepare for an unforgettable day.
