CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event that you need to cancel your trip you must contact us immediately by email. Your cancellation date is taken to be the date we receive your email and the any monies refunded will be based on when the cancellation was made, as follows:

  • More than 60 days before date of departure: Full refund
  • Between 30 days and 60 days before date of departure: 50% refund
  • Between 15 days and 30 days before date of departure: 25% refund
  • 15 days or less before date of departure: No refunds

In order to minimise your financial loss in the event you need to cancel, you are welcome to find your own replacement who is able to take your place. We must be informed so that we can change the name on the booking. The replacement must also:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the required level of fitness for the event in question
  • Must be of the same sex if you have already been allocated a single sex room
  • Must agree to abide by our booking conditions

You are also strongly advised to think about purchasing travel insurance, especially for more expensive overseas trips. It is your responsibility to make sure the policy provides the cover you think you may need. A good starting point to look at are the policies provided by the British Mountaineering Council.

PRIVACY POLICY

We take the issue of your privacy very seriously. When purchasing a ticket for an event you will be asked for an email address and mobile phone number. We do not pass any personal details on to outside organisations. Sometimes it may be necessary to pass your contact number and / or email address to another group member when you have agreed to meet to travel together to our destination. All payments for tickets to our events are made using Paypal. You will only be asked to provide credit / debit card details once on the Paypal website which is a fully secure website. Under no circumstances will anyone from The London Adventure Group ever ask you for any financial information. In very rare instances where someone is unable to make payment using the Paypal website we may provide our bank details for you to make a bank transfer. Should we need to refund such a payment we will need to request your bank sort code and account number but never any financially sensitive information.

GENERAL BEHAVIOUR

We truly believe in our slogan, ‘Meet great people in the great outdoors’. People who attend our trips are easy going, friendly adults and long may that continue. In order to maintain this reputation we reserve the right to ban anyone whose behaviour is unacceptable. Examples of unacceptable behaviour include sexism and racism. The outdoors can be a dangerous place and we expect you to be responsible adults. Information on the activities we have planned are always given in the trip description and we are very accommodating when it comes to different fitness abilities. It is your responsibility to make sure you are able to do the activities and we reserve the right to refuse to accept you should we think you are a danger to yourself or others in the group.
