Join us for a pleasant walk through the woodlands nestled in the southeastern suburbs of London! Petts Wood was saved by locals from developers in the early 1900s, while Scadbury Park remained in private ownership for centuries until Bromley Council purchased it in 1983 and declared it a public Nature Reserve. In Petts Wood, you will find a memorial to William Willett, who built many houses in southeastern London and advocated for the introduction of Daylight Saving Time. Scadbury Park was once owned by the Walsingham family, who had close relationships with Tudor monarchs, including Elizabeth I. The ruins of their moated manor house can still be seen.
