This walk is along Eastbourne’s pleasant seafront, and then follow the coast into a hidden valley (with fine downland flowers and butterflies in summer), from where it is a steep climb up onto Beachy Head. We carry on from Birling Gap along the coast over the Seven Sisters to Except, a strenuous but very scenic.
Dogs can use this trail as well, but must be on a leash.

Meeting Point

We'll meet at London Victoria Station at 08:30am and leave the meeting point at 08:40am.

Planned arrival time back into London around 8:00pm (we have a group train ticket, and you are committed for the day until then).

This walk is covered by our Club's insurance. Our Club is registered on The British Mountaineering Council (BMC)

How to find us

Maria will be at the meeting point detailed in the section "Transport and Meeting Point" below. In case of difficulties locating her, you can call her on 07535295739 (texts cannot be replied to)

Food

We will stop during the hike for a snack lunch, so please bring food and drink. We will visit a pub after the hike where we can get refreshments. Also, swimsuit, towel, solar protection, sunglasses!!

Cost

The trip is £36 per person which includes the guided hike, the transport, and We have a liability insurance.

Planned arrival time back into London at 7:00pm. We have a group train ticket, so all attendees will go and return together to the same station. If you want to return separately, please buy your individual train ticket.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To reserve a place, you must make the full payment, otherwise the reservation will not be accepted.

All events are limited to twenty-five people for a better quality of service and have a comfortable group.

What to Bring

  • Footwear: as most of this walk is on footpaths and paved paths, you may prefer to wear stout walking shoes or well cushioned trainers instead of walking boots.
  • Water (at least 1 and ideally 2 litres)
  • Packed lunch/picnic
  • Money for drinks and refreshments after the hike
  • Swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, solar cream.
  • That's it! We will take care of train tickets, logistics on the day etc, so that you can just turn up and have a great day :-)
