The Chess Valley has some of the most attractive countryside in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is a landscape rich in wildlife, with a long and fascinating history. The walk gets close to the clear, sparkling waters of the River Chess, one of the Chilterns' famed chalk streams.

This walk is covered by our Club's insurance. Our Club is registered on The British Mountaineering Council (BMC)

Transport & Meeting Point

We'll meet at Chorleywood Station (Metropolitan Line, zone 7) at 10:30 am and leave the meeting point at 10:40 am. You can access this station with your Oyster card. Also, there is a car park at the station.

Food

We will stop during the hike for a snack lunch so please bring food and drink. We will visit a pub after the hike where we can get refreshments.

What to Bring

Dogs can use this trail as well, but must be on a leash.
